Just to let you know I am aware of the issues with the server performance and am working to fix them.

Once the performance issues are resolved, I will do a full stats reindex to clear up any incorrect ranking stats due to game outcomes being counted more than once.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience / annoyance.

I've identified the problem; performance should be back to normal.

I'll run a stats reindex over the weekend to fix any ranking problems.

I'll also be checking for any broken games / tournaments.

What was/were the problem(s)?

Due to API changes at the notification system provider we went massively over quota which resulted in them throttling our service. As opposed to failing quickly and returning, this meant every call to the provider waited about a minute before timing out so the server got swamped with hundreds of connections all stuck trying to connect.

One thing is not quite back, at least for me, my ticker doesn't update anymore. Show exacly the same as it did yesterday despite me having many turns since then.

However, the ticker still does not work for me. Both the personal ticker, and the home page "game events" ticker have not been updated for about 58 hours for me, with many many events happening during that time.

Tried clearing cache too. Both the WG profile cache, and my browser cache. But no change.

That's very odd, on the page refresh it loads from a cache which is shared by everyone.

The ticker has started working again for me last evening (about 10 hours or so after I posted last)
