Luieuil will never be unseated from his throne atop this metric.
I'm sad to have dipped below 1 KO/G, but since I've been back 2020/2021 I've been playing a TON of 1v1 games (gotta love that instant gratification) so my score on this scale will no doubt continue to sink.
Some luminaries on this list for sure. Much respect to Mad Bomber as the active leader in the category.

Luieuil played mainly big games, almost no 1-on-1. He's probably got the highest average game size.
Still, he was incredible in multi-player. I don't see anyone topping him either.
I'll see if I can make the list eventually. I'm a fair bit over 1 KO/G but haven't reached 900 elims yet.

The other fun stat is players eliminated over players played -- basically, how likely you are to kill any given opponent in an average game >=)

I would also love to know if players played data (or even average game size) is available anywhere other than on individual player pages. That would make a much better denominator.

Mad Bomber 3048/10689, or 28,5%.
Amidon37 2970/10435, or 28,4%.
I guess for this stat it doesn't pay to be a big game specialist. Let's look at the small game specialists.
berickf 754/1551, or 48,6%.
Charlemagne 6653/12100 or 55%. We have a leader.

Hm, interesting. So this stat skews towards small games where using GP as the denominator skews toward large games? If a player plays only 2-player games and wins half, their KO/player played is 50%. Which shouldn't be good. So we need to incorporate both players played and games played - in other words game size - to get a coherent metric.
You could take the KO/PP and multiply by avg game size. Of course avg game size is (PP+GP)/GP.

I can add that Charlemagne, who wins a lot more than 55% of his games, has actually won 7517 public games on this site and is still credited only with 6653 eliminations. The eliminations counter is clearly not perfect.

Drat, that's a good point too. Surrenders in a 1v1 (or the final 2 of a group game!) are almost certainly not counted as KO's....

There are also boards with non-standard win conditions -- like factory eliminations or conquer a certain number of territories -- that I don't believe count for KOs, either.

I'll normally surrender if its a lost cause and I'm the last one standing before the coup de grace.....my last gasp in losing is preventing the winner from getting that extremely satisfying pop-up with the ranking changes!

Possibly? A surrender should count as an elimination on most boards. I know back when I tried to post a PB elimination streak they counted there.
Let's check his stats closer. His most played board is CC, with 2-player games only, helping us here. 3054 wins, 2659 eliminations.
WGWF, 2-player only, 1691 wins, 1506 eliminations.
World War, 2-player only, 859 wins, 722 eliminations.
Expanding Europe, 2-player only, 170 wins, 147 eliminations.
European War, one of the newer boards, 2-player only. 167 wins, 131 eliminations.
So it's clearly not down to the board. Your theory is most likely right.

I'm pretty sure surrenders do not count as eliminations. And as Kjeld said, win conditions don't count either.

They count as far as your elimination streak is concerned (on "normal" boards), but maybe not for sum of eliminations.
Win condition boards can be strange. I have seven wins on Dejeweled and no elimionations. So far understandable. But - Luieuil has eight wins and seven eliminations. Where did those seven come from? He only played large games so one would think it should have been either 0 or ca 50.
