SHOGUN RULES

If your playing a Normal No Shogun Rule game, disregard this and play as normal

CASTLES on the map will attack its corresponding castle in the Shogun System.

Each CASTLE in the Shogun System can attack the GUN with the number

GUNS (Limit 12 Armies, +2 to attack) attack the other CASTLES on the map, with the number corresponding to the GUN you control

i.e. If I controlled the GUN with the numbers 1 2 next to it, I could attack all 4 CASTLES, with a 1 and 2 on them

CASTLES in the Shogun System also attack up to the LORDS above

LORDS can attack the FLEET

FLEETS (No limit on Armies, +1 to attack) can attack all SHIPS on the map, so that two players can have access to all parts of the map via the SHIPS

LORDS also attack up to the GREAT LORDS

GREAT LORDS attack to the GEISHA

GEISHA (Max units 6, +2 to attack) can attack all LORDS including GREAT LORDS and the SHOGUN!

GREAT LORDS also attack up to the SHOGUN!

The SHOGUN can attack the NINJA

NINJA (Max Units 2, +10 to attack) can attack ALL SHIPS, AND CASTLES on the map.

Dueling NINJAS

ALL LORDS, GREAT LORDS and the SHOGUN can attack the RED NINJA (Max 25 Armies)

The RED NINJA is the only one who can attack the BLUE NINJA (Max 10 Units) but holding the BLUE NINJA gives you +10 armies each turn

History of the Shogun

During the Edo period, effective power rested with the Tokugawa shogun, not the emperor in Kyoto. The shogun controlled foreign policy, the military, and feudal patronage

The shogunate system was originally established under the Kamakura shogunate by Minamoto no Yoritomo. Although theoretically the state, and therefore the Emperor, held ownership of all land of Japan, the system had some feudal elements, with lesser territorial lords pledging their allegiance to greater ones
