I would rate this board "hilarious" if that were an option. Strategy is something like rock, paper, scissors -- it is mostly a mind game you play against yourself. Every move has a counter-move, but do you play the move or the counter?
Graphics are deliciously minimalist, so is the gameplay.
This game would be way better, if you would get bigger bonuses for having more fighters (as if they were continents your holding). Cause otherwise always the one wins that doesn't fight at all.
I like this board.
That being said, I think it's a lot like the game of poker:
If you're a strategic player, and you play against other good players, then the battles can be fantastic.
If you're a strategic player, but you're playing against others who do not understand the intracacies of BAO play, or who don't think more than 1 move ahead, then the game degrades quickly into happenstance wins.
Graphics are great though, love the concept, and look forward to playing other games against good players.
It's really hard for me to rate this board due to its uniqueness. I like the graphics very well, and the concept, and the execution. The cards are very well done, and add a neat touch. I think, for what this board is trying to do, it is done perfectly. However, due to the large luck factor (who decides to attack who), i think 8/10 stars is where i rank it. This may change with more games played. Great board! definitely a great addition to WG.
