I love this map, both because I was playing gauntlet in the arcade as a kid and because it's just a fun, fast map with a really unique four-quadrant narrow-connection layout. I think it's very well balanced, and that's supported by so many people complaining about Thyra, who is in fact awesome.

Not much else to say. Balancing out the starting positions (or forcing random player start) would add the 10th star.

Some characters have a much greater advantage compared to others. That being said, the 4 different boards/novel game mechanics makes up for it.

Riskyback raises the fine art of mapmaking to a new level. The gameplay transcends the lo-res 2D palette to which Risky limits himself.

Great map. It seems as though all the starting positions are pretty even, despite first appearance. Great use of advanced options to make a good, non-standard map. Good game.

Definitely one of the more interesting boards around here. Does create many different strategies based upon who you are and where you aim at dominating. Only 8 stars as only 3 of the 4 characters really have a chance (unless you get lucky and everyone else slaughters each other :) )

Beautiful board, and fantastic concept. I'm a big fan of the play of the game too, but until all 4 starting points are balanced (elf definitely has advantage), I'm putting this board on the back burner.

I've played this board many times, finally won once! Definitely a fun game! Well thought out, good graphics and never the same game twice!
