Appearance is nice, easy to distinguish continents. There are a couple edge areas that become stagnent to play-but overall solid board with good playability.

The draw is too important on this board, and I agree with harvito, the bonuses seem based on size, not entrances. Makes a few places too valuable or costly to take.

Plays like basic risk but many of the land bonuses seem arbitrary. 10 entrance continent 6 bonus, 4 entrance continent 6 bonus.

This no-frills board plays well for beginner and advanced alike, and its unique polar cartographic twist puts it in the category of boards everyone should try.
While graphically it doesn't offer much to get excited about, its borders are clear, game-play is even, and it sports a pretty-near-perfect assortment of choke-points to keep players on their toes. All in all a wonderful first effort by the designer.

It's a solid board, though nothing terribly exciting. If you like basic Risk-style game play, you'll like this board.

Classic, with a lot of passages, have to keep playing to really appropiate rate it!
