    I'm lost.  How did black get eliminated before my first turn, and how did blue get such a big advantage from it?

     

    This isn't me complaining, btw, this is me wondering how that happened before I got to my first turn :<

    Black took a capital on his first turn, which blue then conquered, thereby eliminating black and assimilating a large percentage of his territories.

    I can only assume black didn't understand capitals fully. =/
