Well, I just finished my last tournament game (4 points short of reclaiming my #1 spot on the tournament rankings, dang you Dud =P ) and only have 1 non-dev game left (which may never end) so guess its time to finally announce my retirement.
Its been a lot of fun playing here but I think I've played enough risk to last me the rest of my life. All of you guys at 500+ games are crazy. I've really enjoyed the competition and have a lot of respect for the player base here. Tom, you've done a great job with the site. Special shout out to BD and Mongel, I don't know if my brain has ever hurt as much as after those games of Five.
I'll still be around if anyone needs help testing boards, feel free to invite me to Dev games, but I'm done with ranked games and tournaments. Hopefully my name won't fall off the leader boards too quickly.
Seige, it's been a pleasure playing against you and I feel your pain. I'm not retiring, but I'm definitely pushing my game count down significantly for the foreseeable future, too. It's just way too easy to get overwhelmed here if you're not paying attention.
I... can't find anything wrong with this line of reasoning...
Thanks man. We'll be losing a true competitor. Loved having you around to dismantle our creations.
Best of luck Seige! Had a great time playing you in Gauntlet!
I am always sad to see good players leave the site; so I hope that you return at some point in the future.
I also am cutting down a lot. I'm finishing up some tournaments and I have one map that I would really like to see Go Live but I've lost my vigor for playing. Now, this has happened before and then it returned but right now, I'm taking a break.
Life: All The Crap Between Turns
Farewell Seige! Good luck for everything! =)
