I didn't like the reviewer's original rating of WG from way back, but I have to admit that much has improved since then to earn the higher mark.
Oh, whoops! There appears to be some funny business going on. That site was:
http://www.playriskonline.net/
And somehow we are no longer listed there. Hmmmm... The good news is that http://www.playonlinerisk.com/ appears first in various google searches.
Nice.... I always thought it interesting that the guy who runs playriskonline.net has a copyright tag at the bottome of the page... despite the clear copying which has occurred.
Yay!
I heartily agree with all his points, this is a great site. Congrats Tom and all who contribute!
Ok, just got a chance to actually read all the reviews. Very nicely done review site. Some observations:
Good analysis Oz. You topped my suspect list for the newest review site. Now it's Adam.
I also find it interesting that MajorCommand isn't on the Wargear favoring site, and now Wargear isn't on the other review site (ToRS). You can find old lists with Wargear way down if you click on various links on that site, though.
Because I like innovation and leveraging the talents of users, I would favor a good API over the AI first. The AI stuff is way sexier, though.

Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit
Speaking of AI, was just about to do a search on it. There was some discussion in the past about someone wanting to tinker with simple AI.
I've been playin with the idea of transferring a very simple board game to electronic so i can play my buddies (which is what lead me to ToS and, ultimately, here). We're considering taking it one step further and making a phone app out of it, but that would require AI to play against.
We had a pretty good discussion about AI before. One stumbling block was that due to the feature richness of this site, it would be hard to make an AI that performs well on all maps. I think a decent solution would be to have two AI programs. One is super dumb, maybe plays mostly randomly, but would play at an equally bad level on all maps. One is pretty smart but only works on maps that have fairly basic gameplay. Maps that the smart AI would work well on could have a tag 'AI Enabled' or something.
I was wanting to talk to whomever about creating some AI for a game outside WG...
What board game?
Kensington, we're in the process of trying to get ahold of the original designers to see about sanctioning/licensing.
