    I think Amidon's suggestions would be nice in rare circumstances, but the added UI clutter would not justify the very few opportunities where I would use them.

    So to bring this thread back to the original poster's topic...

    +1 for making default message settings a user option for both Team and Non-Team games.

    With time, my chosen user settings will become "automatic" and I'll intuitively remember that for Team games my default is X whereas for Non-Team games my default is Y.

    I suppose it's worth the extra clutter in the settings menu.

    It should be possible to play WG boards in real-time ..without the wait, regardless of how many are playing.
