ooo serious one here: http://www.wargear.net/games/player/145232
fogged game allows me to see some of opponents territories that i shouldn't be able to see.
I assume the assumption for this is that Beta Testers should not be using this as a way of obtaining information* they shouldn't know. List of testers is good and hopefully not an issue, but may want to watch/be cautious of what links/images are supplied.
*except for RiskyBack, he can use it that way as he needs all the help he can get
I understand the competative edge, but R&D is greater and more honorable pursuit... besides, that would be cheating! And there are rules against that. =;0)
the guys in this game are top notch and even when they see it (assuming they realize which game it is) i doubt they'll do anything with it. unless you're talking about me mentioning it and every joe schmo/riskyback starts using it to their advantage...
That map is HUGE!
Oh, and I wouldn't cheat, I enjoy losing fair and square.
Beta player hides the unit counts that are normally visible on top of the board image layer, as you can see in the flash player screen shot. This is a DEV game, but would also cause problems for Pirates of Pangaea and a few public other boards.
yeah thats what i meant in posts 37 & 46...but good pic of it.
Great feedback so far thanks all. I'm working on some fixes, will let you know when these go out.

See http://www.wargear.net/forum/showthread/2417plast/Neutral_image#last for more on this.

Reason I ask is that I'm seeing the same # of issues as ratsy is (a lot) but if the new Player was never intended for this version of Chrome then I'll just upgrade to the Beta vs. testing with Chrome 18.
Yes I do - the only reason I am running the new one is for Dev purposes so please let me know any bugs you see.
The current Stable release version is 18, Beta versio is 19 and Dev version is 20.
I've deployed an update which should fix the issue with single layer boards not displaying fog correctly.
One thing I should have said - the default fog image has been changed. The reason for this is that Neutral textures have been introduced and I wanted to visually separate the two. It makes more sense for the darker color to be Fog and the lighter color to be Neutral (at least in my head!).
This is the new default Fog texture:

If this is going to cause major problems (or if you think either texture is ugly and need tweaking) let me know.
Force Card turn in after an elimination could be a bit more up front, may be confusing as to what to do.
*edit* Actually it is broke because you get this message: "You are not permitted to trade cards at this point in the game"...actually I think it's because you get the Elimination window and then you don't get the Free Transfer window after that.
Also should the Elimination of a player window (Cards/Reserves/Bonus) be centered?
Is the Card window going to be horizontal and not vertical? I don't think I'm going to be a fan of that, especially in games without card limits.
I'm not seeing the in-game messages on the bottom of the player anymore. I can see it in the game definition screen (or whatever you want to call the page that shows a snapshot of board and explains all the basic info about the game) but I don't see it in the player window. I need to check all my games to see if it is in some.
Then again, maybe you moved it???
During placement, can you move the Placed/Reserves fraction to the middle of the player window?
When you get a board with a big map, and you have a lot of armies to place, you have to keep scrolling back to the top left to see your totals.
Is it just me or are parts of the board/frames/player moving on other players to?
Periodically I scroll down to the part of the screen that shows the board to play, and then I click on something and the click doesn't register, but the board moves/repositions.
Maybe there is something in the player code that tries to repaint?
Example, I was just playing a game and the pop-up for forced card trade came up and when I tried to select the card I wanted to trade, the whole window moved up and to the left maybe a half inch and I had to move my mouse to the new box and press the button again.
Also, the cards used to be displayed in order (like AABCW)
Now they look to be being displayed in order of recipt?? (ACAWB)
Maybe that's by design too??
when launching the beta player on your turn, it defaults units needing to be placed to the '-' instead of 1. so you actually have to click how many units you want to place before placing.
xp/IE9
in general is it very ...dull... to others?
