my hockey board dice are off. in the board design page the dice are set for 6vs2 5vs6 ect. but in the games that are live they are 12vs8 11vs12,ect. hugh suggested that they might be adding 6vs6 dice ontop of the modified dice. is that the case and if so how do i change it?
I was wondering why you liked the funny dice, now I get it -
In the board designer what you are setting is the modifier to a d6. (What Hugh said).
If you want the attacker to roll a d8 then you set the attack modifier to +2.
I think the same thing is going on in your other boards also -
Hugh is correct, though you probably shouldn't think of it as adding 6vs6 on top of your mods. Rather you are adding 6v2 on top of the default setting of 6v6.
On the Rules Tab in the designer, under "Bonuses, Limits, and Dice" you have the dice set to 6v6 (you could change it if you wanted to). From there you "modify". So to create a 6v2 border you should modify 0 for the attack dice and -4 for the defending dice.
if i change the dice in the rules section to 0vs0 would'nt that be the same?
funny it still plays fine it just does not match the description.

You have a number of unmodified borders -- 0v0 would essentially make them unusable.
But yes, I'm pretty sure you could start with 0v0 in the rules as long as you modify every border.
i changed hockey, and the butter battle so it is correct. i am unsure if i want to change baseball or not. the way it is now kinda makes for some intresting play. does anyone know what if any is the odds for dice. it seems like it's been discussed before? thanks for the help agian.
I wrote a calculator to give you the odds for various modifiers. It's on the right hand side at:
..for which dice? 6v6?
thanks ozyman that was very helpful, and intresting. still not sure what to do. i might just make a new scenario.
