I went through the whole process, I have a receipt in my E-mail from paypal indicating I gave funds to Wargear.net, but I still seem to not be a premium member. About 10 minutes has passed. Is it not instantaneous? Is this a bug?
-Hugh
hi Hugh - it should normally be instantaneous and has been for everyone else so far.
I can see that the payment has come through from PayPal so I've credited your account manually and will check the logs to see why this wasn't automatically handled.
Apologies for this.
Tom
Hi Tom - it has me as standard/non-premium again.
I see what happened - your site sent me an expiration e-mail on Dec. 9 3am. So, the manually entered premium membership had the wrong expiration date (this is my guess as to what happened anyway).
Sorry Hugh I've credited your account with some extra time, please check your expiry on your profile to confirm.
Yep, looks good! Thanks Tom.
Hey Tom, quick question (thought i'd hijack this thread since it's essentially done and it deals with premium.
just came back from a week's vacation. went to take myself off vacation mode and it said i couldn't as it was a premium feature. first question: did my premium expire? 2nd: assuming it did, is there anyway to take me off vaca mode until i get my premium paid for?
Wastin' away in Margaritaville... waiting for my premium membership back.

hi - yes, your premium expired and you can't turn off a vacation once it's started regardless of whether you are Standard or Premium so not much help either way, sorry!
so if one were to come back early from vacation or after setting it found one couldn't go due to inclimate weather, there's no way to end it and save the days?
Not at present but I'll look at adding that feature.
oh also, i was able to make moves while my account was 'on vacation'. is that a good thing? one hand says yes, the other no.

You should be able to make your moves while On Vacation, definitely IMO.

see i think so too, but then i think "what's the point?" someone could just put themselves into vaca mode just to keep from getting booted. but then again there's a limited number of vaca days...
