hy admins,
i was playing in game:
http://www.wargear.net/games/player/214013
Making the final move taking all the countries in 1 go (I had 100 + units and the last guy 6)
Then i server lagged out while for some reason the clock kept ticking and I lost the game..
Can you guys set this straight please?
Kind regards,
Limburg
hi - sorry about this, it's back to your turn.
Can you please redo it again admin? I never saw my turn appear in the list.. eventhough i was online..
thnx in advance :)
Done - boot has been disabled to give you time to take your turn.
thnx :)
1 problem though, for some reason i can't attack Egypte :/
iff you'd put the clock back on now, he will lose, and it will have the same effect though :)
OK you've won now.
Cheers :)
N1 dude !
this change of result stinks. i had similar problems to limberg affecting my turn throughout the game. how come when limberg has a problem and ends up getting booted, I lose the game. either the rules of the fischer clock stand or you need to get rid of the fischer clock.
There was a problem with the server during the game which resulted in limberg's turn being unplayable. In these circumstances it is completely fair to reinstate the game as he was booted due to no fault of his own.
there were problems for everyone throughout the game as indicated in the game log. all other players managed to log off ond get back on in time to play their turn. the problems affected the play from the start, and probably the end result, so at the very least, the game should be erased from any record. By awarding the game to Limberg, you are saying that the server problems affected only him when this was clearly not the case
I'm not saying the server problems only affected him, however at the particular time that he was unable to play the database server was down - it was impossible to take his turn.
my point is that by awarding him the game, YOU ARE SAYING that the server problems only affected him. as far as i am concerned, server problems are part of the game and i live with them.
I think your decision is wrong, but if thats the decision, then i'll have to live with it. i just wont play fischer clock again.
There's a clear distinction here between lag which can happen at any time due to any number of reasons and the server being completely down preventing play from taking place - for this reason I think it is fair to allow limberg to complete his turn. Sorry, that's my final decision on this one.
