Is there a way to permanently hide boards from the "join Game" list?

There's a couple that I just don't like to play and would rather not be tempted to join again.

I don't think there is a way - which is why this is in the "Suggestions" forum -

Just like their is a 'favorite' flag for each board, how about a 'loath' tag.  If you set it, you don't see those boards in your join games.

We already have the Hide feature on the Boards list ('X' and Ghost), that should/could probably just be the mechanism for not showing games started on these Boards.

I would propose it as a Premium feature, but not too strongly nor if it was more complicated.

Yeah but when I hide games I am hiding them for multiple reasons (e.g. I don't want to play with the people in it) so I don't want x'ing a game to x the board entirely.  I like the loathe tag (maybe call it "permanently hide")

Yertle and I are referring to hiding boards, not games, which as he points out should have the exact functionality you want with the "loathe" feature. As far as I can tell, hiding a board doesn't actually do anything at the moment, and it may just be a matter of tom turning that functionality on.

Oh.  Never noticed that X before.  I'll +1 then that hiding a board should lead to that boards games not appearing in the "join game" list for you.

It's a bit crazy that WarGear has so many subtle features that people like Amidon and I (8+ years of WG between us) still don't know about some of them.

I kind of think it's a problem for wargear in some ways, but I can't really think of what you could do about it.  Maybe a hint/tip of the day (or maybe week if we don't want it too annoying)?

I hate to say it, but I don't find the icons on the boards page all that helpful.  Less sexy, but much more Helpful would be pull-down menus, at least for view and sort-by.. or some way of distinguishing the buttons without having to hover over them.

The X now hides the board image from the board list and blocks those games from appearing in the Open game lists (Home page and 'Join Game' tab.
