I am in a tournament where my partner surrendered. Now I am in a game where I am against a 2 man team. In a game like this is it possible for me to go first? I don't think so. I believe I am automatically assigned to go second. Would this be considered a flaw?

It's still possible for you to go first.  The seating is still rolled randomly between teams, and if your team goes first, it's you.
Of course then the other team gets two turns (one per player) before you go again, but that happens either way.
It's really hard to do a two on one game.  Good luck.

Thanks. In this type of a game, the solo player should at least get to go first.

2 vs 1 from the start? .... Better to seat you second so you don't form any delusions that you have a chance.  It's kinder that way.
