I had the red start and I was unable to place first round, got skipped. Factories didn’t produce on my screen. Site seemed like it went down for a moment during opponents turn. I forfeited since it would be impossible to win.

How bizarre! Your opponent got skipped after not completing his first turn in time, then it's your turn - before you can start your turn opponent is allowed to finish his attack from first turn (?) when you should have had placement and then skipped your turn 8 seconds later, wild stuff.
