I think we've visited this topic before, but what is the typical 3v1 advantage for the attacker using d6 dice?

And what are the odds of going 15-and-19 in a turn with such dice? I'm thinking a bad turn would be along the lines of 19-7 or 19-8. Going under .500 on such a long turn just seems obnoxiously brutal and unfair. One might call such dice 'Trumpian', if you will.

It's roughly 2/3 chance of winning 3v1. So 19-7 is not a bad turn, I'd consider it normal. 15-19, however, is an excruciating turn. If it's any consolation, I've had worse. I once managed with 6v8 defensive dice (Iwo Jima) to lose 20 units while taking 4. I had the 8 dice but even if I'd had the 6 dice (versus 8) that would be worse than expected.

Yikes. That is horrid. Yeah, I've seen some bizarre rolls on that map and something like that can definitely swing a battle.

The interesting thing about my turn was that in 3v2 dice, I actually rolled 8-and-4 (thus I was 23-and-23 overall). I just hate losing over and over to singletons.
