Two questions: Is return to attack from placement an option for a map?
Next: Is this site's version of Connect Some lack of return to attack the desired result? In thinking about it, I think this will actually improve the difficulty level of the map, since in the other version you could wait until after launching a bazillion attacks to decide where to place.
Anyway, I think I like it :)

Return to placement from attack is an option. Yes, I intentionally left out that option. You can still go back to attack from fortify. I realize its the opposite of how it was on Warfish. I did it so that you get an extra move through the chip tray. Also, the fog options aren't as thorough in this version, so you can see more at the start of your turn. Thus, I felt it was more important to make people commit to a move at the outset than be able to recover from a big discovery and go back to placement.
I've seen a few comments in the Connect Some games about a bug. Is it a design bug or a site bug?
Site I believe... http://www.wargear.net/forum/showthread/76/Cannot_attack_from_territory
Two bugs have been fixed thanks to WW - there was a problem with attacking and fortifying from a spot with only one unit. Should play fine now. Apologies for this, most of the testing has been around the basic Risk like rule options so I anticipate more of these being picked up as designers try out new rule variations.
It would be a big help if you stop playing when you get the bug and post into the support forum like Wallace did, that way I can immediately see the issue and post a fix. This way your game won't be stuffed up also.
Ah, I had this issue also - meant to report but forgot, sorry. -H
