tom wrote:Fixed broken links to unrated boards caused by quotation marks (!)
Link broken from Board Rating's page to boards with quotation marks
Example: http://www.wargear.net/players/info/Yertle/Board%20Ratings > Salem's Dusk is bad link (so is the Edit link).
*edit*
This chart is still wacky (title and header): http://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Salem%27s+Dusk%3A+Classic/Ratings
About tab also says: Rating Unrated
And I can't Edit my Rating due to bad link even from the Ratings page.
Yertle: I really don't know what we'd be doing if tom didn't start WG
Yertle: scary to think about :p
RiskyBack: You'd have more kids and I'd have a real job, probably
Oops fixed

I gotta ask... is this your full time job now or are you just that much more efficient with your time than I am. You are doing an amazing job!!!!!!!
Haha full time would be awesome but not for the forseeable future! I've had a bit more time to work on the site recently which has been great.
ok, so i love the new pop-up message in the upper right corner notifying me that my membership is about to expire, but it's slightly annoying for a couple reasons. the biggest is that IT DOESN'T GO AWAY! i'll close the box, but anytime i change pages it comes back like one of Risky's ex'es.
the other and much more minor annoyance is the change in colors. one the 'my games' page or here in the forums it's a WG grey box, outlined in green with white text and the blue hyperlink. if i open up a game it changes to a white box, outlined in green but with blue text that hides the blue hyperlink.
oh and did i mention it comes back?!
EDIT it's gone?! weird (and i remember some html stuff, hehe)
I'll double check that - the growls (as they are so called!) should go away once you've read them.
Ah, actually I think I know what the problem is there, it's the user info caching which expires after 5 minutes hence it went away. I've fixed that bug.
Not sure exactly what you're referring to with the colors, is it the link to the game itself in the games list?
no it was the coloring of the 'growl' itself.
make another one show up and i'll do a screen grab.
Ah OK got it thanks.

Edit: Hmm.. I just checked a few games, and this is what it seemed to be on some, but not all.
I just want to say I agree on that. This 'end of MY last turn' button has to work. I know it's more easy to say than to do, but I think it would be really nice.

Added SimulGear rules to board information
Dice information is not shown correctly for SimulGear boards. e.g. http://www.wargear.net/boards/view/Hordes+of+China/Rules
"But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first." Matthew 19:30 - Good strategy for life and WarGear!
- Custom initial setup - added setting for initial unit bonus and initial cards
- Predefined team name support
- Asymmetric teamplay (e.g. 2 vs 3 players) support
- Added Preference to disable view of in-game chat
- Added link to Open games to Board about page
For the predefined teams there are two new rule settings:
1. Use Predefined Teams - if this is on then players are only able to choose from the team names defined in the 'Scenario' tab (renamed from 'Colors' tab)
2. Allow players to choose seats or teams - this allows you to configure whether players can choose their own seat, their own team or neither (i.e. have it randomly assigned).
About the fact that top 20 players now appear on Home page, I would have prefered top 10 players according to the Global ranking to appear too. I believe Global ranking is more important than points and would deserve at least to share the Home page.
About the rankings, I also believe that there is room to extend the tournament ranking display to more players, and also to have this information on each player's profile, as there is no way to know your own ranking (unless you are among the top 20 players) or who is number 21.
I agree with you on this point Toto. Unfortunately, most here feel that Global Ranking isn't as important as Board Rankings.
..at least that's the way they felt about 6 months ago when the subject was broached similarly.
Happy to change this if that's the general consensus - anyone else got thoughts on this?
Forgot one more change - for games where Autoboot / Autoskip are disabled the boot timer icon appears faded out - thanks to suggestion, can't remember who now!

Thanks for your support. We will see this time, as things have changed. Many players now are above 2000 and the board ranking system has not followed that evolution. I don't understand why you get 20 points for being first at WarGear Warfare and the same for being first at any unknown board where you can get 1500 points by winning against players that discover the board and the rules for the first time.
