Just a friendly reminder. According the original rules we came up with, there are only 24 days left to get your Pangaea map approved by the review council. IMO, you need to give yourself a good 3 weeks for even a smallish map, so people need to be submitting any day now. I'm pretty much ready, but I'm not sure how many others are. I would be up for extending the deadline, or making June 10th the deadline for submitting to the review council, but I think we would need unanimous support to change the rules at this point.
So how many others think they can get a map reviewed by the 10th?
Unfortunately, I've been too busy myself and can't possibly make the deadline by this point. I'm not saying we should extend it just because I'm a slacker, but I would support an extension if it seems it will bring in a significant number of additional submissions.
i always thought it was the submission date, so i'm fine with that.
Hrm. I couldn't find a post that discussed it, but for some reason I thought it was a deadline to have passed review. Seems like a better idea to just have to be submitted by then.
I kinda dropped off... land maps aren't my forte.
I can clear the review board by the 10th. I was working toward that date to have it ready. It appears that I may be an overachiever.
In my defense, I made 3 maps this week that are all in testing. So I don't feel so lazy...
i don't have an excuse, well i guess i do. i don't know how to make mine unique enough to be liked (see the rest of my boards in beta...same issue).
an extension would be nice for me, i'll probably be a few days or a week before i'm ready to submit.
I probably will not be done and reviewed by the 6th, but I am hoping to submit by the end of the weekend and I have am not t0o concerned either way if I make the deadline so long as there are a few designers who do.
I found the original post I was thinking of in the voting thread:
Yertle wrote:Clarification: time scale is to have the board completely designed and Dev tested correct?
That is what I was thinking.
But I guess I interpreted 'dev tested' as submitted and passed review, but looking back I bet Yertle meant it as 'ready to submit'. So if there is no disagreement, lets assume that the June 10th deadline is to submit to the review panel.
Does that work for everyone? With all the confusion, I wasn't sure which weekend Alpha was referring to. We could always bump the deadline back to June 12th, to give everyone one extra weekend. I don't really care either way, but if it would make a difference in the # of submissions, I say we give people those extra two days.

That's not an excuse! My board is pretty standard & boring, but I still made one! I figure it's good to have a couple of simple scenarios for the newbs to play also.
I was saying that I will have a board ready for dev testing this weekend 5/21-5/22, but it will probably not be review by the deadline. With the above interpretation, I will definitely have a board ready to be reviewed by the deadline.

'i don't have an excuse, well i guess i do' = 'i don't have an excuse, but i'll make one up'
:^)
Getting close...
I ended up hating my idea after I spent too much time working on it. When the 3D Globe didn't work I got into watching shows about baking cakes instead of map making.

I pretty much just scrapped my board yesterday too. Starting over today!
He has risen!
Next map making contest theme: baked goods!
So the Review board is just to check the board and have the cutoff date correct?
Will there be a separate set of games for voting or how is that to occur?
He has risen!
