This is the voting thread for the first map making (friendly) competition.

We are deciding:
Q1) What is the name of the account that these maps will be 'owned' by.
Q2) What will the theme be for the first competition
Q3) What is the time scale for this competition.

Just to be clear, I think f is 'The Cartographers', not 'Cartographer'.
Either way is okay, thanks for the clarification.
Q1- f, e, c, a, b, e
Q2 - b, d, a, c
Q3 - a, b, c, d, e
Clarification: time scale is to have the board completely designed and Dev tested correct?

That is what I was thinking. Do we have enough people on the council (or whatever it is called), to deal with a flood of submissions all at the same time? Based upon the interest in voting, I'm guessing we'll have 5-10 (or more) maps to dev test all within a few weeks of each other.
You are presuming that we will all actually meet the deadline.
The time for vote tallying has come. Because of the type of geek I am (there are many species of geeks), I thought it would be easiest to write a javascript app to tally the votes for us. Hopefully this will remove any human error (other than programmer error). Anyway the results are:
Q1: f (The Cartographers)
Q2: d (Pangaea)
Q3: b (2 months)
You can check my work at this URL: http://prestopnik.com/irv/
The 'example' votes listed are our votes for Q1, Q2, & Q3. If you care, please take a look and let me know if you notice any problems (the vote tallying shows its work). I believe the way my code works is that ties will be given to the candidates based upon alphabetical order, which I think works well enough for us, especially since there were no meaningful ties in this vote.
So, is that it? Should we commence?
