i would assume so.
Can I play too or is it too late and if so how do I submit something? I haven't been paying attention but I have a Pangea idea I've been kicking around for quite sometime. It's pretty Risky!

I would assume anyone can jump in up until June 9th (ish?), in which case the board has to be complete and Dev tested.
I've had a failed Pangea-layout-based map since WF :p

I found an 8000x4000 base image of pangaea to start with lol
DING DING DING
I had some interesting thoughts, but two months is kind of a short time frame for me, so rather than do something experimentalish, I think I'm going to do a variation of another design I've already completed.

We haven't really discussed this, but I was going to just make a map called 'Ozy's Pangaea'. Then once it is done & tested, submit it for publication. If it passes, instead of actually publishing the map, I assume the map makers council will let me & Yertle know, and then I send Yertle my board & fill (& fog if you have it) image & my XML from the map. Yertle will create a scenario for me on 'The Cartographers' Panagea, and upload my images & XML.
As far as I know there is no way to send files through wargear. If that is true, maybe the easiest thing is for Yertle to give his email address to anyone who gets a map approved in time, and then we can email him with our files as attachments? Assuming Yertle doesn't mind handing out his email address.
Also, I kind of assumed that if someone can't get done in time, rather than letting their hard work go to waste, Yertle could add on the stragglers at a later date. This is up to Yertle I guess because it is more work for him. And of course they would not be eligible to win 'Best Pangaea Scenario'. Which at this point I think the prize for is probably just a mention in the description of the base Pangaea map.
All sounds good to me! I'll either get the graphics via email or I could pull them from the Board Designer.
Yep yep to adding more Scenarios later as well.
I also would guess that the winner gets the Base image for the board (unless we make a clever "dummy" image for the competition, which may not be a bad idea) or Default (or 1. or something).

To juice the competition up I'm willing to offer a $100 prize (via Paypal only) to the winner... happy to split this into 1st / 2nd / 3rd prize winners if you think that'll work better.
Wow!

Ok, first off, I am NOT comfortable putting my name in a map title.....it lacks class.
tom, I think that is mighty cool and I think winner take all is the way to go if you want to give a cash prize but maybe give 2nd place 6 months premium or something.
lol @ risky
I posted on the walls of Cram, Johnny Yuma, KrocK, Red Baron, Severene, Toaster, Electric Monk, Wallace Wishmaster, FadeToOne, Cumberdale, Ender, DBA72 to hopefully get some of them in the competition, are there any other designers that haven't been on the forums recently that may be interested?

Nasal Commander????????????
I am willing to play test any designs anyone comes up with.
Sounds like a cool idea! Where's the image at? or do we find/make our own?

Find/make your own. Either easily recognizable as Pangea or justifiable...I'm assuming.

I didn't mean in the final version of the map. The map that each individual map maker makes will just get thrown away in the end, so I was just trying to come up with something that I knew would be unique. I assume each map maker will get to decide what their scenario is titled, and I planned on going for something a bit more descriptive than 'Ozy's Pangaea'.

That makes sense to me, and could just number then AnA-style.

If a map isn't chosen will it still be released? Sorry if this was previously discussed.
Also, two months will be tough due to RL, but I'll give it a shot.
